Turbo kit

What are you getting in the turbo kit rather than the turbocharger?

Re: Turbo kit

Depends on the turbo kit.

Some kits come with absolutely everything right down to the hoses, clamps, gaskets, tuning, etc.

Some come with hardly anything or junk components.

As to which turbo kit your talking about, i have no idea and cant help you much.

Well, like i said, it depends on the turbo kit.

My kit for my car included EVERYTHING right down to the misc hose clamps. Of course, the kit costs $5000-6000 depending on which stage you want.

If someone makes a kit for your car (if its an import, they probably do), then Id say it includes the essentials. The tuning may be up to you though. If its something like a Lincoln Town Car, your probably left with making something on your own.

Re: Turbo kit

You'll have to get everything for the motor to run like. You have to replace you exhast manifold with the turbos one.

Re: Turbo kit

its more fun to build the setup yourself, not to mention you're going to save money

Things you'll need:

-Turbo
-Manifold
-Downpipe and dumptube
-Full exhaust/cutout
-Charge piping
-Intercooler
-Couplers and clamps
-Blow off valve
-Wastegate
-Oil lines
-Injectors
-Tuning software
-Misc rubber vaccuum lines....wouldnt hurt to get a vac manifold either
-Random fittings, electrical tape, and misc crap (budget for it)
-Spark plugs
-Clutch
-Tuning

All told it should be about $3-5k but it can be done for more or less depending on your needs/goal.....
