Computer effect car mileage?

Hey, i was wondering if changing out the computer of the car would effect the mileage on the car...I was just wondering because im buying an eclipse with 65,000k and it had the computer replaced and i wanted to know if it effected it at all....

The odometer and ecu are completely separate, changing the ecu will not change the milage on the car's odometer.

^^^ correct.

The mileage odometer is mechanically driven and is connected in no way with the ECU.
