95 Grand Am cooling fan runs constantly
I have a 95 Grand Am with a 2.3 DOHC. Upon starting the car the cooling fan immediately starts. The check engine light went on around the same time this started. I reviewed the schematic for electrical connections and was unable to locate a relay that may be the cause. I have never heard of this and I'm not sure if the check engine light has anything to do with the problem. I'm lost on this one.

Re: 95 Grand Am cooling fan runs constantly
Welcome to AF !
I'd say you have a relay bad making the fan run. Pass, side under the hood are 4 relays. 2 are the same, 1 is AC the other is the fuel pump. One of the other two is for the fan. Cant really say which one it is because these get moved around. But it would be easy to find out, just by unplugging them one at a time to see which one kills the fan. Most part stores can test them too.
