Power windows FTL

Hey guys my driver window took a shit on me, I try to close it (up) and it doesn't move. I can hear the motor turning so it's not that, window goes down fine though. So now I have to close my window by pulling it up while pressing the up button, I'm pretty retarted with power windows. Anyone shine some light on this. Thanks fellas

moter rivets that mount the arms to the motor could be coming loose. this will supperate the gears. this is a job for some one that knows what to do. thier is a spring that is loaded that helps the moter to raise the window. I hope this helps.

its the white box....hard to explain. Take off doorpanel and replace it, should have one harness into it. Really hard to miss, you'll know what im talking about right when you take the panel off. This happened to my little brother. Fortunately i had an extra. Took me like 10 minutes to fix. But his passenger side worked perfect. I think its some kind of relay or someshit. I dont know names of things, i just fix it lol. His had the same symptoms, you could hear it wanting to work but nothing happened.

Would this be it? it's called a power window amp lol. Right when you remove the door pannel its located where the arm rest is.

damn that wasn't the problem, thanks though. I used my friends power window amp and it was still the same.. Also I can push the window down by hand, not trying hard at all... Anymore ideas? Thanks

Switch works, tried it on a friends car. I can push the window down by hand.. any light on that? thanks

I'm thinking its the window motor.. a friend told me that a worn out motor couldn't push the window up, only go down because of the weight of the glass. Does that make any sence?

hmm well that could happen. To bad you dont live close. I had two power window units. I just threw them away.....

But yea its not hard to swap those out and in if you know someone with a spare. Its alot easier with the door off, but you dont have to do all that. But if you do take the door off.....id look into new door pins and bushings. Your doors will open and shut like brand new. Its amazing how smooth they open and shut. You wont slam your doors anymore.....thats for sure.

Thanks chuki, I'll look into changing the passanger side door. The driver side door closes like a new door; I think it was replaced or something lol. The passanger side however sounds like metal banging and glass breaking, passangers always say sorry even when they close the door lightly lol
