94 Exp XLT Vibes at 65 - 70 mph????

I've checked all the obvious I think. Serious vibes between 65 -70, then, clears up. Have had for some time. Same on different tires, all balanced and aligned, etc. Seems to be a common problem with this model.

Anyone found the true problem??? Seriously Frustrated.

Thanks

Do you feel the vibration in the seat, in the steering wheel, or both? Does the vibration change under braking? If you put the transmission in neutral does the vibration change?

Feel it in both the seat and the stirring wheel. Doesn't change due to breaking, but will stop when I drop below 60 mph. Haven't tried going to neutral yet. Next time out on the highway, I'll give it a try. It will be a few days away though, Holidays.

Thanks,
Mark

If you feel it in the steering wheel, chances are pretty good that the issue is at least partly in the front end. If you only felt in the in the body of the vehicle, I'd suspect an issue in the rear.

Was the alignment performed recently and by a professional? If so, I'd expect they would have noticed any loose steering or suspension components. If you have a 4WD model, they probably would not have noticed issues such as a bad CV joint (or did the '94 still have u-joints up front?), out of balance axle shaft, or bad wheel bearing.
