do i need to program a new ecu on a dodge caravan 1996.
Hi to all,
I am about to replace my dodge caravan 1996 2.4 L ecu for a new one.I like to know if i have to program the ecu on that year. thanks, specialist |

Yhe answer is yes and I have some bad news.The programing has to be done at the dealer with the vin burned in and the mileage burned in also,Chrysler's factory scan tool DRB III has to be used.The other scan tool that can do it too is the Vetronix Mastertech.The Snap On scanner and other aftermarket scan tools will not do this.There is a core charge on the old ecu also.
