there is nothing wrong with the car, it was very well made and is very reliable, the problem are the owners who dont take care of them.

So you think. I see customers come in and took care of there car on every
service interval and still need an engine. If it so reliable how come there has been 4 or more so call reflashes that suppose to fix the problem. How come there is a 3rd gen design in the leading spark plug that is coming out soon. Yes there will be another recall for the spark plug that was put in on the previous recall. You can blame some of the drivers but the engine still need to be refine. I'm not bashing the car, it fun to drive and all but reliability is a ?
Try to make a living fixing these then come back to me and tell me what you really think about them. I can't complain it pays sorta good replacing motors.

hey don't you get tired of the same people talking about the same shit. who would win 1/4 mile and shit. Is this car good and shit. Is there anything better to talk about this car. I would love to learn more about mods and crap and see how people progress with the car power and handling wise.

yes i do own one, i love the car and I dont pay attention to the shit talkers. yeah you fix them, good for you, but have you ever thought that it might be a string of bad luck at your dealership that you had to replace engines? We took a poll on the RX-8 forums and found out the most common engines being replaced belonged to the 4 ported autos, maybe a handful of manuals needed to be replaced. that doesnt make it a bad car. The reliability comes to question when the car is modded. but left stock the car is very reliable.

Bad luck no, we just doing our job right or try to fix it right the first time.
I know of some dealer that haven't put a motor in one yet, but I question their techs honesty of doing their job. Your right about the most part but have you ever heard of any car having a recall that require replacing the motor beside the rx8? I admit I drive them alot and they are fun but the cost when they break down in my opinion ain't worth it, but thats just my opinion.

one question oh, what is your MPG for city and highway.

city MPG average is 15-17 depending on my driving (its alot of fun to rev to 9k. Highway, I have taken the tank to 260 miles when i got to empty I dont care much for the gas or else i wouldnt have bought it.
