My car idles at 2000rpm when first started

ive been noticing that my car's idle goes to 2000 rpm every morning but then it goes down after like 2 minutes of leaving it running. i check all the vacuum hoses and they're all fine. it only really does it when its cold but it idles fine after its been warmed up. i think my temp sensor on the head might of gone bad. any ideas of what it might be?

It's called warming up. Completely normal. What's with that ad?
