Fuel Door, Trunk Release Not Working

My 2001 v6 recently developed a problem where both the fuel door, and trunk release, suddenly stopped working. Checked fuses, relays, etc., No problem with them. The fuel door worked manually, and the trunk release worked from the remote. Instead of rushing to do something, I waited. Later my rear window switches would go down, but stopped going up! I then took it in to the dealer, and the problem turned out to be the Driver Door, Master Window Switch! This was surprising, but it appears that both the fuel door, and trunk release are routed through the master window switch. I noticed others who've had problems with the fuel door, and the trunk release, but there seemed to be few resolutions. My fuel door and trunk release are functioning again, after replacing the foregoing component.
