03 denali front shocks

truck riding terrible. looked at front shocks.
the shocks are made by Delphi.
there is a slight oil film on the shock, (which is normally OK)
but the lower control arm, and even the torsion bar are coated with the oil film, so it must of blew out all the oil.
and the way the truck is riding, no doubt it's bad.

the other side is BONE dry. The Delphi web site says their rated for 125,000 miles, but 60,000 miles did it in. these autoride shocks are very expensive.

did anyone try aftermarket shocks?
what exactly does this electical connection do for the autoride?
the GM shocks are like $300 each !!!
