what to do before you turbo?

so ive heard that Z engine cant take much more than 9psi if turboed so you might as well get a supercharger right? if you had a stock Z and you wanted to get the most power but with a limited amount of money, could you install a turbo/sc kit with out upgrading anything else? just trying to get ideas thanks to all that reply...

Re: what to do before you turbo?

stillen makes a good supercharger kit and it is pretty well priced. with out building the motor i would not boost more then 9psi. but if you are looking to supercharge your z i would recommend you to first doing a full exhaust headers, high flow cats and cat back along with a aftermarket intake.

if you decide to go the turbo route, i would recomend a single turbo kit, turbonetics and greddy both make a really good one i think they are 2k more then the supercharger tho
