'04 DX Water Leak

I bought this a few days ago and just noticed this yesterday. On the lower part of the passenger side windshield I noticed that the black plastic trim that "seals" to the windshield is bending/warping up leaving a small gap inbetween the glass and the plastic piece. My main concern is will this gap leak water into the car or is it not a big deal? If it does need to be sealed up some silicone should work right?

(if no one knows what I'm talking about I will take some pics later!)

Thanks!

Re: '04 DX Water Leak

I think I know the part you refer to. I had the one on my 05 replaced under warr and it has slightly warped again. It really provides no sealing (even when flat the water can still go under it)

It should be fine.

I had to go back to the dealership to sign some papers, so I asked the technicians down there. The guy said the windshield is sealed so no water can get in through there. It drains out the side of the car, so all is well! It just looks ugly with it bulging out...Oh well!

Thanks again for the help!
