I have a leaking water pump in my '94 Bonneville SE, 3.8l. I figured the fix would be a straight forward operation until I got a look at the pump location.. It appears that the pump cannot be removed without first removing the engine mount located directly in front of the pump. Am I correct in this observation or is there some way to remove the pump without removing the engine mount? Assuming the mount has to be removed, can anyone tell me how to do so? Thanks very much.

Re: 1994 Bonneville water pump replacement
Hi just did this myself yes you have to remove the mount and you need to support the trans with a jack and make sure you have something so the jack does not go through the pan when you do this also. Nice of them to put the mount in the way. once that is off its easy from there.
