C6 Transmission Shaft Swap

Ok I have a 4x4 C6 transmission thats bad...also a c6 2wheel drive transmission i need to switch the back housing and the shaft to turnthe 2wheel drive into a 4x4 tranny is this a simple unbolt bolt on process or does it require dismantleing the trannys internals?
