1960-65 GMC Pickup Restoration Project

Hey, well I'm 15 years old (16 in a couple months) anyways I came across an old GMC pickup, It looks like and early 60's model. I think it would be a fun project to to, I actually might be a mechanical engineer so that could also be a good project. Anyways I don't think it runs, it's all rusty, I think thye would sell it for about $75. Is it worth it? Where would be a good place to get an engine/tranny? Any idea on prices for engine/tranny?
-Thanks in advance!
