96 Acura RL Radio R&R
I just bought this car and I have ordered the factory service manuals (I don't care for the Hayes comic books). Anyway, the car didn't come with a battery, and the security codes for the radio are nowhere to be found.
I know what I need to do to get the security codes from the dealer. What I don't know is how to remove the console cover over the radio. Does anyone know if this thing just "snaps" out? From the bottom??? Any help would be appreciated. Kerry |

Re: 96 Acura RL Radio R&R
You may not need to remove the radio. I removed the "button" between the buttons for the fog lights and window defroster that are below the radio. Once removed, you can read the S/N from the bottom of the radio with a flashlight.

You can also try opening the glove box and looking on the side of the opened box for a strip of paper that has the code on it, if it hasn't come off or been removed.

Re: 96 Acura RL Radio R&R
sometimes can be found on the underside of the underhood fusebox, or on one of the trunk hinges.
