how the hell do they get those engine blocks so clean on downtoground.net? do you have to dissassemble them and tank it?

well from the look of things sicne its a swap you kidna have that option to pressure was hevertyhing ect. another thing is detailing. i.e. super cleaning. thye make alot of polishes or coatigns that give a shine and what not makin everything look sick as hell. plus this is a quote

A pressure washer will only get so far. With how clean they get their motors, they put plenty of time and effort into it. I wouldn't expect anything else from those guys.

first off we do pressure wash them all. and you can pressure wash it in the car.

all the swaps on the site we done different ways for different reasons. some are paint jobs. some were clean up jobs. some are polish jobs. we just finished a job that is by far the cleanest. polished everything. I need to get down to the shop to unload my camera.

the most common way people clean up their engine bay is to use "Simple Green"....but becareful on the paint. after it's rinsed off you can spray turtle wax 2000 and as it dries you get that shiney clean look.

Castrol engine cleaner works really great for me, especially on the block. I used to use simple green on the engine bay but notice a loss in paint gloss so I switched to 409, which worked as good.
