Re: Fly's back! - Lancia 037 Stradale
A little more progress on construction of the master parts. All are now complete for this transkit, the next stage will be to prepare them all for casting.
Seats For the seats I opted to construct them in 3 sections, mainly for easy casting later on, but also because with this particulary design I felt a better look would be achieved if I did it that way. For the seat, back support and headrest, I made a sort of 'buck' from styrene sheets of various thicknesses to provide a guide when shaping the putty. The putty was rolled out flat and and cut as required to fit the buck. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The headrest was attached to the scratchbuilt seat frame constucted from styrene sheet, strips and rod. ![]() ![]() The complete structure. ![]() Side mirrors. I took the side mirrors from the Delta kit as a basis for the 037's. Only the mirror section was retained and the new supports were made from laminated styrene. Shapes were dupliced several times over from 2 different thickness sheets then sandwiched together to achieve that ribbed effect. ![]() ![]() ![]() This pic shows the masters for the lenses to be cast in clear resin.

Re: Fly's back! - Lancia 037 Stradale
wow! I love threads with a lot of styrene construction.
Genious seat fabrication process ! The mirror base "bellows" also look good.

Outstanding - those seats are to die for!!
It's always fascinating to watch someone with exstreme skills at work. I'm looking forward to seeing how you cast.
