Exhuast it TOO LOUD

I have a 1994 Accord with the F22B2/non-VTEC. I recently redid the exhuast system and went with a straight pipe to a Flowmaster muffler. I do not have to worry about emissions since I live in montana and there is no emissions testing. I enjoy the improved mileage, it raised it about five MPG. However, the new system is dreadfully loud, and I am wondering if there is any way I can quiet it down without putting the catalytic converter back on. Any suggestions?

straight through resonator might work, but the problem more than likely is the muffler you chose

Do you have a recommendation for a good muffler? I don't particularly like the real high whiny ricer-type ones, just looking for something that will quiet it down a bit.

some mufflers have silencers that you can put on, it'll get rid of the power you gained but you can remove it when you want that extra power, it'll also quiet the exhaust and make it more bareable

Re: Exhuast it TOO LOUD

Get a chambered muffler from Magnaflow or something. straight through is going to be loud, get something with some baffles to make it quieter. The 5hp you might lose is definitely worth it.
