Lightbulb cat or iac on v7 mustang

99 mustang 3.8L just changed the wires and plugs - Sencond post on this but different idea. could anything cause the cat to turn orange other than a bad cat? yet throw no codes. Smells like rotten eggs, black soot and cookin catalitic converter are the problems other than a shitty idle and shitty response, and backfiring! I hate fords, 3 out of 3 of my fords broke down on the same day
