crazy stalling problem--please help
Hey everybody,
I have a '97 escort that stalls when I have to stop at stop signs, etc. To keep it from stalling, I have to put it in neutral and rev the gas. It happens more when the car is cold and doesn't happen as much when the car warms up. It drives fine when not in idle. The rpm's cycle up and down when at idle. Any ideas? Thanks. |

Re: crazy stalling problem--please help
Start by looking for a vacuum leak. Check the hoses at the top of the intake manifold, and if necessary try spraying some soapy water where the head meets the block and where the intake manifold meets the head.
