Can ecm be checked?
Was wondering about how to check Ecm cause my tps is working good but Ecm says no it's not.

Does the TPS have the proper 5V reference supply across the outer two terminals?

I was told there is no way to test the ECM, one thing you could do if you have is goto Firestone and let them run a diagnostic on it $80 and they should tell what's wrong if anything.
BTW I don't think your car wouyld run without the ECM.

It may all work fine at the TPS (if 5Vref is good at the TPS, then it's pretty much guaranteed those wires from the ECM are OK) but the signal wire could be damaged/broken anywhere between the TPS sensor and the ECM input. Signal could test fine at the TPS but not be making back to the ECM. |

My mom's Buick has the same issue, signal seems good up to ECM. I decided to get an ECM, it's in the mail (at $55, it was cheaper than burning the car for insurance claims). What did you do to fix yours?
