Stiil another "no spark"

92 w/3800,Runs fine for a week,an hour ,10 miles,.....whatever.No pattern as to when its going to stop. The strange part is that the power windows will stop working at the same time.EVERYTHING else electrical continues to run. When I wait awhile, then get in and try the windows and they work, the car will start. If windows dont work, car wont start.Wipers, heater, radio, blinkers, headlight, horn, ...everything else is not affected.Any ideas? THANKS

Re: Stiil another "no spark"

This is a long shot, but there are major ground bus terminations that can be subjected to corrosion over years. They can cause problems such as you have described. To access these ground buses, you have to remove the carpet retainers (door sill plastic pieces, driver door & passenger), and possibly the trim piece just in front of the door, and fold back carpet to inspect the ground bus. It is something that would be worth checking. If you see a verdigris condition (green on the copper components), then it will require disassembly & cleaning.
