Re: Wip : 10 Ferraris ^_^

The 355 is done :

Adding this to the ferrari collection : 612 scaglietti
Doing this with reference to auw12's fantastic build...much respect there!

Ok lots of pictures...
First up kit pictures
Quite stunned by the kit.. its really huge compared to fujimi ferraris..
i have a slight feeling it might be out of scale ?
Compared the 612 to the 355

Parts look good , althought quite a number of flash plastic to clean off... detail is good as well

Thinking of stripping the chrome , looks really plastic - like

The front grill looks too thick... Anyone have good ideas on tackling this?

Got a bend or warped piece , the seats should be in good shape as the plastic is usually thicker there.

However this piece needs to be heated and bent back into place.

Chassic looks good

Gotta love the decals for the different number plates it included.

Body after prime and first coat of black.

Interior started:
As auw12 pointed out , the rear air-con duct was missing... so i scratched that out

And the kit f1 gear was rubbish ... so had to scratchbuild that as well...
I made two pieces.. one was for the buttons located on the gear plate area and the other was for the gear handle

The finished air-con duct and the almost done f1 gear box area

F40 progress :
Engine is almost done... all i need to do now is drill holes to include wiring.
I also cut off the rear piece so as to make my engine hood close properly and fit , also to make it easy to paint the chassic

Testarossa :
Painted this awhile ago ... Right now i have to sand the orange peel off then spray on another 2 coats of italian red. Also have to mask and spray the grills black.

Thanks for looking guys! Feedback on how to improve would be good for me..
*every model is a learning experience!

Re: Wip : 10 Ferraris ^_^

wowwwww~~~what a vast project!!!you're really a ferrari enthusiast aren't you?it's amazing to see so many prancing horses in a non-meeting thread,in such a huge project maybe you can't concentrate on each kit but i really hope you can try your best, they're all stunners.i love the showroom diorama and everything you've done on the cars so far is good.the 612 is really a big guy,the length is 4902mm and the 355 is 4250mm so trust your eyes it's not over sized. the rear heating vent of the scag you've done is pretty good, but the F1 gear head is slightly over sized,i think you can fix it~~keep up the good works~~~i'm looking forward to the great result.

Re: Wip : 10 Ferraris ^_^

612 update:
Body is up and done! I added side ferrari emblems and 612 scag logos
Light housings were all done as well
Interior basic colours up...
Engine done!
I added the Ferrari badge on the engine

The finished engine... Sry my detail painting sucks

Body clearcoated and polished

Interior masked for black... i used blutach to mask some hard curves

Garage update :
Right now this is my plan...
Combine 5 garage kits into one big diorama
Add a second level ; Open air carpark
Showroom effect
Ferrari livery for it
Planning to put 12 LED white lights

Right now i have done up the circuits for my spotlights which i will be adding to the diorama "ceiling spotlight"

The circuit has a 9V batt connected to a switch then LED White lights connected to the batt and switch in a parallel circuit.

Demo of the LED with the lights off ( one LED )

Thanks for looking!
And i need some ideas on how i can make the light cover a larger area... right now its like a "beam of light" kinda thing
