Flashing A/C and wiper buttons

I had no gauges working and took it into the dealership. They had worked intermittently but finally died. Dealership quoted 600.00 to fix so I declined. When I got van back, instuments work but A/C and wiper lights flash for 15 minutes then stop. Does anyone know if they can program that into the computer to aggrivate customer? Other ideas? Thanks for any help!

Welcome to the AF. Sounds like you need to do a vent panel self test or an A/C cool down test. Both involve pressing buttons on the vent control panel but, I don't recall which. This will reset the system. Search the forum. It''s there somewhere.

OBTW - Make sure you tell us what year minivan you have in the future. The engine type and mileage wouldn't hurt either. Basic info helps as much advice we give depends on it.

Agreed! Any day I keep money in my bank account and out of Chryslers is a great day. Thanks for posting the fix. Glad to hear it worked.

Could you do me a favor and post the link to that thread? I'm usually too deep in a thread or post to come out and find it. Also, what did the dealer do to fix your instruments or did they fix themselves?
