'You Tube' Videos

Does anyone know of a way in which you can download the videos at 'You Tube', there are a couple on a Lancia Stratos that are excellent for reference - especially the interior however I dont how to download.

You can normally 'right click to download' but I cant the option anywhere - is it a case of contacting the poster of the video?

any advice greatly appreciated, for your information the link to the video is here:

Re: 'You Tube' Videos

if you-tube is like other video then it uses a .flv extension...you'll have look thru your temporary internet files for the file...it's probably some long number letter combo...it'll be a couple megs in size and have the . flv extension...then save it to your desktop (if you watched a lot of videos then you'll probably have to save all of them to your desktop and shift thur them) and go to www.download.com and download a free .flv player

that's what i did...anyone know another way?

Re: 'You Tube' Videos

If you use Mozilla Firefox there are extensions that allow you to directly download videos from youtube and similar webpages.

Correct. Download an addon called "Ook? Video Ook!" and you can download them...unfortunately, they also stay in .flv format. Perhaps Bink and Smacker can convert it?

Re: 'You Tube' Videos

That's funny you should post this thread at this convenient time. I just got high speed internet (FiOS) and now can watch the videos on YouTube. After a few videos, I said to myself, "How can I download these to save in my computer?" This is what I did. In the search box in the upper right corner of the YouTube page is the search box where you can search for video content. I typed in "How to save or download videos". The results that came up were videos on how to save Youtube to your computer. Some of the results mention what was previously posted in this thread. here is a link to the results page you can check out to see how to do it.http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...&search=Search
Now I can save all my favorite '80s videos from my past

You can use a program called "VDownloader" found here http://www.softpedia.com/get/Interne...wnloader.shtml . You can download the files into AVI, MPEG or even PSP format
