Question old story

Hello,

I don't know if it was evoked on this forum. someone on the forum of a french auto show called Turbo spoke about his :

he says he sat in a F1 at a petol station opening in England in 90's. He was very young and remember the owner was a F1 driver and there was also a 94' Williams.

so, do you know which f1 was there and if pics are available ?

Thanks
Phil

Re: old story

have you got the link to the forum, i have never heard of this, and can't think who it could be - unless he is thinking of Paul Stewart?....

Re: old story

Ok. Well I'm not the guy on the forum referred to but this is a fact:-

In a petrol station on the Brighton Road (Croydon, South London) there was an F1 GTR on display in the 1990's. I am 95% certain it was either a FINA car or a Gulf car (I think Gulf) . It was there for a short while-I always used to stop and stare at it through the window when I lived in the UK. I am afraid I cannot be certain whether it was a FINA or Gulf car due to the passage of time and I do NOT have any photos of it. However I know my Mclarens very well and this is a true story. I hope this clue points you in the right direction.

Re: old story

Hello,

thank you for these answers.

In fact, it was just to help this person to remember because he was very young. I don't know him but I would believe him.
For Paul Stewart, I am not sure he owned one at this time ?
