99 'Burb, Heated/Dimming Mirror Glass

My driver's side mirror is broken. Can I just go to an auto parts store and purchase a replacement mirror, or is it a special OEM part for the heat/dimming aspect?

I had to replace mine and found that only the OEM replacemant had the auto-dimming feature. The after market mirrors had heat but not dimming.
