Ca18de Specs??

Can anyone tell me whats the spec on that engine?? I found one in the junkyard and saw that engine on a nx pulsar. My friend has a 1997 200sx with a 1.6 ltr. engine. Do you think its worth swappin that out for the CA18DE? Thanks.

1st How comes an 1.6 engine into a 200SX? Never saw this

2nd The CA18DE is a fine engine has about this specs:

CA18-DE
Type: 1809cc EFI DOHC 16 valve 4cyl
Power: 97kW @ 6400rpm
Torque: 162Nm @ 5200rpm
Gearboxes: FWD 5-speed and RWD 5-speed and 4-speed auto
Source: RWD 1988-on Silvia, FWD fitted to late model Australian EXA's

theres also its big brother with the turbo:

CA18-DET
Type: 1809cc EFI DOHC 16 valve 4cyl turbo
Power: 130kW @ 6400rpm (108kW @ 6400rpm 87-88)
Torque: 225Nm @ 4000rpm (201Nm @ 4000rpm 87-88)
Gearboxes: FWD 5-speed and RWD 5-speed and 4-speed auto
Source: RWD intercooled examples come from 89-91 180SX and Silvia turbo. Non-intercooled RWD were 87-88 Gazelle engines. FWD examples come from 1988 Auster 1800Xtt (also not intercooled)

[i]this are the specs you wanted now some additional info if you put the CA18DE in it your car will be possibly as lame as now (well I don't know how goods the 1.6l but the cars over 1400kg). The CA18DET you can push for shure to stable and good 200hp (150kW)

Hope I could help else ask if you need other answers

CA18DE
Power: 130hp
Torque: 120 ft.lb

CA18DET
Power: 170hp
Torque: 166ft.lb

Well as I know the US received the in Japan 200SX (S14) named car as a 240SX equipped with the KA24DE. It's a 2.4l engine with 155hp and 160ft.lb it's also possible to put a turbo on this one!
Well as I already said I don't think the 1.6l engine belongs in there are you shure that it is stock? Maybe some on else is herewho could back me up but I'm shure it never came with a 1.6l.

Is it maybe the GA16DE out of a 100NX? Check here if this matches with the engine he got.

Unfortunatelly I'm short on time at the moment and will leave after this post but J Spec will be on in about 4 hours check then again for more infos. One thing for better results, for me 1.6 and S14 don't go together no where on the world. So maybe you can find out what it is realy. A 200SX S14 or some other car with a 1.6l (maybe a 100NX). Here a pic of each:
1997 200SX (S14) coupé [comes only with 2.4l (US) or 2.0l (rest)]

or a 100NX [comes also with a 1.6l]

That white car isn't the 200sx? I thought thats the silvia aka 240sx? My friends car is the sentra aka 200sx. I'm gonna go look to see what is equipped on the sentra SE model.

So we have already solved the problem your freind got a sentra! That white car is a 240SX in the US and in Europe or Australia/New Zealand they call it a 200SX and in Japan it's a S14 but that with the names is a long story maybe you go check the Sentra forum.

The Sentra is not comparable to the Silvia (S10 to S15) cars. It has completly other engines and quite no similarities to the Silvias which are real sport-cars.
