99 Civic-to buy or not to buy?

I just found a 99 Civic for sale with right at 100,000 miles on it. It looks to be very clean and have no body or interior defects. The only problem is that the car is almost 4 hours away, so i'm trying to decide whether or not I am getting a decent deal. The used car dealership wants $5665 for it and the blue book is a little over $6000. How much do you think I could take him down on price?

Civics really hold their value, I wouldn't sell it that cheap.
I guess it depends on how fast he wants to sell it.

Yea, selling a Civic under blue book value is kind of rare, at least for a car dealer. Be sure to give the engine a thorough inspection (check for smokes, leaks, sludge in cylinder head, condidtion of fluids), and if you can, get a mechanic to look at it before you buy.
