Windshield weatherstripping R&R

Does anyone know how to replace the wetherstripping on the front
windshield of a 98 Civic without removing the glass?
Is it glued in?

it has some clips all around. I don't think they are glued at all, and you don't have to remove the windshield either. I believe there are 2 on each side and i think it is 3 on top.

Re: Windshield weatherstripping R&R

Umm on that im pretty sure you have to have windsheild out...cause the seal its self pops onto the winsheild on both sides if you get what im saying...

Also when i had a replacement they had a window with seal attached...

Im about 98% sure the window has to come out, cause it attaches to bottom side of winsheild..

Not sure if you understand what im saying....Its easier to show ppl things then explain them over net..

GL later

Re: Windshield weatherstripping R&R

Thanks for the replies.
I have checked with the dealer and some windshield installers
and the glass does have to come out.
The molding does come with the glass and wraps around the back side.
I wish there was a universal "tee" molding I could find and glue back in
so I could cut the existing one out. I'm painting and would like to
do it all. I'll just pull it back and paint underneath as far as I can.
