And yes, people of color probably aren't called racist as quickly as white people, but that shouldn't be used as a warrant to slap the racist tag on Kanye West for what he said about Bush not caring about black people. Whoever the athlete burrito referred to is, he could be labeled a racist "we are better than them" is a pretty clear statement about how he views white people. Racism is a generalized mindset about a race or ethnicity, not a specific dislike for a member of that race.

Well, West DID choose to say that GW didn't care about
black people, so that leaves him open to the racist tag as much as anyone else. Let's be honest; he knew what he was saying, and he said it for the controversy. As I said before, there are people who stand to gain from stirring up that controversy as much as possible.
If he had said that GW didn't care about the
people of New Orleans, without the reference to race, I could see where it's unfair to use the R word for him. But, he put himself in that position as soon as he opened his mouth, so he can take his lumps for it just like anyone else that gets the R tag put on them for their remarks.
Personally, I'd still think he's an idiot if he was as white as the Mayflower settlers.
