2007 Impala LT With 3.5LiterVVT - 4spA/T

Ok - my GF did it. She just bought a 2007 Impala as noted above. She just got it 3 days ago and it now has 133 miles on it. Sooooo I was wondering if anyone had one and what is your experience/opinions?

1) Breaking it in. - owners manual says for the first 500 miles vary your speeds and don't go over 60. - Ledfoot GF has had it to 70 (intermittantly) already. Her drive to work is about 20 miles (mostly highway) so it is hard to keep it at or under 60.

2) I was looking at the gearing and the spec's say it has a 2.86 rear so it should get reasonable gas mileage (30 hwy per sticker - cough) once it is REALLY broken in - maby in 8-10,000 miles or so?

Any helpful comments or experiences?

Thanks

i know the owners manual says do this, don't do that as far as breaking it in....but i say break it in like you would normally drive(with the exception of alot of full throttle accellerations). just my $.02 though.
