jack stand placement
Hello all, i plan to do my front brakes this weekend. Is there a picture available that shows the best spots for jackstand placement once i have the corolla jacked up. the year is 1997.

dont have pix but there is a seam where 2 peices of frame come together just behind where you put the factory jack is where I placed mine.
I pulled the transmission and did alot of tugging car seamed very solid. |

Some repair manuals show alternative locations for jack stand placement. Do you have a repair manual? You should look at a manual before working on the brakes. Modern cars have specialized instructions for bleeding and compressing calipers that do not pertain to older cars. Especially if you have anti-lock brakes.

under the rocker panel? I have never seen anyone place a stand inder the rocker panel. Use the factory jack then look just behind there and you'll see the frame and place the stands under the frame.
