i'm australian, and hence not familiar with the 'quarter mile' what ever you call it.
I assume that the fastest mile is obviously the car who does it faster, and not a matter of opinion.

Subaru Wrx Sti
for the record.. 2 days ago a subaru WRX STI brand new took off along the road.. i matched him..over took him doing 145.00 and the subaru was doing around 130... , boxster 2.5 is faster than a subaru wrx sti.. its been done! so fellow boxster owners, dont hesitate when a subaru wants you on the 1/4 mile... go for it and show him why the name porsche means somthing. I also have a video of it whem my mate videotaped it... i will upload it somwhere soon and post the url.

Exactly, Porsche has always held it's dominace in the turns not the straights. But to answer the orignal quesion, the Boxster S is the fastest car in the 1/4 mile in that group with the neon nipping at it's heels.
