outside door handle question
ok, my project jetta is an 87 wolfsburg edition that lacked outside door handles... went to pick your part today and got a pair from a 95 I believe the label on the door panel said... that or 89 (was grabbing parts from several lol) is there any major differences in the door handles (what years/models are compatible) because i installed the handles, and when I tighten them down the doors work open from the outside so I had to take them back off

Anything from 85 to 92 should be compatible. 95 has a different part number. You can order a handle online at sasponline.com for $11.
I don't recommend them in particular, they're just one source that I'm familiar. At any rate, online prices for a lot of parts are really good.
