96 bonneville code p 1870 not in repair manuel

engine light is on ,used my brothers osb2 scanner and got p 1870 but its not in my book !!!!! car is running fine though

trans component slipping more than likely is your TCC 96 was a bad year for GM FWD torque converters

The good news is it may be reachable without taking out the transmission..
