weird problem in a 323

i turn on the headlights, the dash light does not go on, and the rear tail lights also do not go on. when you press on the brake pedal, the brake lights work, but not the parking lights. any clues?

Re: weird problem in a 323

Probably a fuse/relay. Check your fuse panel, if anything is blown, replace it.

Re: weird problem in a 323

The bulbs in the back have two filiments. One turns on with parking lights, the other when the brakes are applied. Check your fuses. If one is blown, remove the back tail lights and replace the fuse. If dash lights work and fuse doesn't blow, install one of the bulbs, then check the fuse again. Then install the remaining bulb. Bulbs can be installed 180 degrees off with a bit of force, be sure you don't do so.
