Question Shop manual - what is available

What shop manuals are available for 2001 Protege? Is there one from Mazda? Is there an aftermarket one (Clymer or something else)?

Thanks.

I don't think you will find an aftermarket manual for a 2001. You can probably find a Haynes for up to around 99 that will cover most items. Factory manuals were printed and should be available through Mazda dealers, warning, they are expensive. I found a manual and wiring diagrams for my 02 Protege 5 on eBay.

Try http://www.datamanuals.net I bought a set of two cd's from them for my daughters '99 Protege and wifes '01, after I received them it ended up being Mitchell on demand. Mind you not aas good as AllData but the price was a heck of a lot better.....Mike

You can get a service manual from the dealership for about $110. It's expensive but worth it. You get all your torque specs, wiring diagrams, troubleshooting flowcharts, and everthing you'll need.
