Re: Pontiac 2006 gto starting car
I think a GTO would be a good first car unless you have no conscience and a problem obeying speed limit signs. If you arent careful ANY vehicle could be your first and your last car. Lots of people start out with sports cars. Teenagers with rich parents tend to be driving high powered sports or luxury cars. The point is if you have a car like that, drive it like you have some sense.

Re: Pontiac 2006 gto starting car
yes, but almost everyone wrecks their 1st car, and would you rather wreck a 5k dollar car or a 35k dollar gto? you know if youve got 400hp your gonna hot rod around in it, its impossible to resist. parents shouldnt buy their kids expesive cars, that pisses me off so bad, especially since people like me worked hard to afford their 1st cars, and they end up being junkers lol.

Re: Pontiac 2006 gto starting car
A new GTO has some pretty good insurance if you wreck it it gets fixed. A 5,000 dollar car is going to be on liability. IMO its not impossible to resist hot rodding around just cause i have somthing that can, at least for me.
My best friend from childhood Nick Ratliff was in the street riding one of those scooters with a weed eater motor on it. As he was going through an intersection a older woman in a middle 90's GMC pickup hit and killed him about four years ago. She was going 50mph in a 25mph residential zone, flying down the same street she lived on where her own kids and their friends play. Her heavy and slow truck couldnt stop in time and judging by the tire marks she left on the street, didnt have good brakes. The problem wasnt the vehicle she was in the problem was the driver. Take a look> ![]() ![]() If you look in the background of the first picture you can easily see the school that seats over 1,000 kids. I took those pictures in the middle of the womans yard, she lived right next to the school. It could have been anyones child that day. It could have been her own. And he never stood a chance against it. Once again the driver was at fault not the vehicle she was in. This year during March another one of my best friends, Cabel Irons was loading a car up on his wrecker. A car had stalled along the side the OKC Lake Hefner Parkway, wich is a stretch of highway here in OKC. He was between the wrecker and the stalled car hooking it up, and a guy in a speeding family sedan carelessly hit the back end the car he was loading up. Since he was between the wrecker and the "no-start", you can figure what happened. I dont have any pictures of that and by what the ambulance tam said, i probably wouldnt have wanted any. Once again the driver at fault not the car. And the car was a slow family car with crappy brakes. Im not looking for sympathy here as im not the one dead anyways, im just trying to prove a point. Both of them are dead and were killed by a car with careless drivers who were speeding in a car not suited for the way they was being driven. No teenagers or "hot rods" involved. Fact is a teenage male is going to drive carelessly at some point and time(maybe<). When they do drive like a moron should they be in a family car with crappy brakes, or one that can actually stop and manuver, as well as speed along carelessly>. From the situations ive seen if they had only been in a car that could stop and steer better as well as be driven by a retard, i might be still hanging out with my friends. |
