Cierra wont start, Fuel filter or fuel pump?

My 93 Cierra ran one day and then the next morning came out and it wont start. It seems to have spark because if I leave it sit for a day and try again it will fire and then die. How do I know if it is the fuel filter or the fuel pump? how do I check to see if it is getting fuel. Is the fuel pump accessible or is it in the gas tank. Has anyone had this happen to them?

Welcome to AF, get a fuel pressure gage on the the fuel rail port, if below 37 psi the pump is probably bad, 6cyl I suppose? please provide info such as the engine size in the future.

It is a 3.3. Where is the fuel pump located? Gas tank?

Yes, the fuel pump is located in the fuel tank and you will need to drop the tank to get to it. Use a jack to support it as it is heavy especially if it is full of gasoline. Good Luck!
