2001 Maxima Se Price

I am about to get a 2001 maxima and was wondering if i was getting a good deal.

2001 maxima se automatic with
comfort and convience package
leather package
bose system

for $24,900 plus taxes and license.

no other charges.

3.9% financing through nissan motor corp.

Does anyone know the true dealer invoice?

They are so shady its not even funny.
I was ready to pick the car up. Already spoke to the sales man, told me to come in "your approoved for 3.9%." When i got to the dealer ship he told me to see the finance manager to close the deal. 1 thing he says to me was you have been approoved for 9.9% financing. Theres nothing we can do about that its your credit score and the bank. "9.9 is the best your gonna get" so i tell him thats ok forget i dont want the car anymore. So i said just give me back my deposit. Without hesitation the finance manger says well if you purchase the extended warranty and the lojack alarm system for 2400 you can have it 6.9%. I was like no way and just walked out of the office. Before i could get out of the dealership he comes running after me and says well we can try to get you 3.9% but you MUST purchase the extended warranty and lojack alarm system for 2400 extra.

SO NOW I AM BACK TO DRAWING BOARD ON THE MAXIMA.
MAYBE NOW I HAVE A REASON TO WAIT FOR THE 2002

Yes, that is a perfectly normal thing to deal with at any dealership.

It's the reason that people hate buying cars.

The trick is to combat a lie with a lie.

Go to Carpoint.com....look up some other cars in your area that have the same options....find one with a lower price and print it out.

take it to them, and tell them that this place offered the same car with the same options for 3.9% for LESS....Sure it's a lie, but it's a lie that will save you alot of money.

You will get your price and your interest rate. If they say "no"
, then walk out...they will chase you to the parking lot, and you won't have to buy LOJACK or anything else extra.

I did this with my '97 with 39k miles, and got them to add a spoiler, tint, alloy wheels, and still at $500 below original Bluebook value without the extras added. (That's $2000 worth of options for -$500, effectively)

If the man screws you, screw them back.
