saw it wednesday, it was definately the best movie i saw this year, but not goodfellas status. parts i was confused on, but overall, great movie! anyone else see it yet?

Thumbs up best movie this year by far. I would say this has a nice hint of goodfellas. Nothing will ever be goodfellas but for whats its worth it right up there.

from the TV ads i've seen, it looks pretty good. i'm not one for going to the cinema much. seeing as it costs about $16 a ticket here, and and food/drinks you buy in the threatare strip your wallet. (i buy then in the supermarket an stick them in my backpack)
i may get off my ass and go see this when it's released over here though,.

The Departed was amazing, one of Scorsese's best in a long time. Everyone did a great job, Nicholson is still pulling out the work that is worthy of his legendary status. But I was most surprised by Mark Wahlberg, he stole every scene he was in. Also, not a lot of people have been giving Vera Farmiga much credit but I thought she was up there with the rest of the cast.
