A/C unit stays on.

I have a 95 Aurora. My "A/C ON" button is stuck in the ON position. It will only turn off when I turn the "Auto Push" knob to the off position. As soon as turn this knob to any of the settings, the A/C will come. This was fine for summer, but as winter approaches, I would rather have the heater come instead .

I am wanting to remove the environment control unit from the dash but I can't figure out how. I can get the bezel (around the radio) off, but that doesn't help much. Can someone explain how to remove the environment control unit?

heres somthing interesting that i learned about the ac on some cars....the light from the ac stays on when the front window defrost is on with warm air coming out because the ac continues to dry the air...making it easier to cool and heat..is this any help
