exhaust bolts--catalytic converter

i'm sure this is a simple question, but what size bolts do i need to connect the catalytic converter to the pipe that feeds into it from the engine? i've got a '97 trek and the bolts recently broke (rust, i guess?). i can see exactly what i need to fix, but i don't know what size bolt to get b/c they broke!

Re: exhaust bolts--catalytic converter

I have a 91, so I don't know the size, but when I replaced my exhaust I used stainless steel bolts. They break easier if over torqued and are more expensive, but they don't rust and break on you.
