spectra timing

wux up. i got a boy with a spectra and we are trying to put a wet kit in and spray a 50 shot. but we need to adjust his timing but its distributerless and he doesnt have cam gears. any here knows how to retard his timing or have ever sprayed in a spectra before

It more than likely has some sort of cam angle sensor, like miatas, it should be attached to one of the cams on the rear of the engine. It might need a special way to do it, but I hope this at least helps you find the cas(cam angle sensor). Also with nos, I would start with 35 shot to see how the car reacts, then go to 45-50.

you cant adjust the timing on the engine with out reprogramming the ecu... and i dont know if you can even buy a chip for it...
