Guys have a leak on my AC how can I check for a leak on the AC System? I tryed to read the pressure but nothing compressor is dead, I'm able to jump start it. It works but there's not pressure on system. Need help!

Compressor will not start on it's own due to low pressure shut off.... I believe there are some freons with red dye that you can put in the system to help you find the leak? Check for oil build up around the connections, usually the oil from the system seeps out where there is a leak... How about soapy water? If the compressor is oily around the compressor clutch that is usually a good sign that the compressor is leaking.... Any pressure at all in the system?

It's kind a weird whenever I jumper the compressor pressure comes down. I will try to check system with soapy water and with compressor on. Pressure seems to go up if compressor is off?
