Dead Batteries on a New Dealer Lot
I went to look at a new car last weekend. We had to go through 4 vehicles before the sales dude found one that didn't have a dead battery.
My first thoughts were - This is ridiculous. No way am I buying from this manufacturer. (It's an import known for past quality problems, but have reportedly made huge gains in quality over the past few years. You're all smart, figure it out)
A quick search around Google and this looks like a problem found at quite a few brands. If I lived in the desert and it was August (or Buffalo and it was February), I might understand, but I don't and it's been real mild for weeks now.
Is this a common problem or am I right to be suspicious? I mean, a brand new car and it won't start? C'mon, what kind of faith am I supposed to have in its reliability after I get it home?
