WTB 95-00 Convertible Linkage

I replaced my top over the weekend and managed to break one of the connecting linkage rods. The rod I broke is on the passenger side and rivited to the #2 bow. It's about 6 inches long and is attached to the rest of the frame via a fixed center screw as well as a screw that travels through a slotted link.

It's not a great diagram, but it would be #2 in this image. I can also take an actual picture if it's not clear what I'm looking for.

The dealer does not sell just the piece I'm looking for, they only sell it apart of the #2 bow assembly. I beleive it could be carefully removed and sold seperately though. If you have a convertible you are parting out or know of someone or a junk yard that does, please drop me a line.

I'm also looking for the main weatherstrip that goes seals around the door and across the header. Removed carefully, I think this could be salvaged off of a vehicle and reused as well.

Your best bet to get ahold of that part is to hit up a local junk yard and hope they have a convertable cavy or sunfire.

For the weather stripping you may be able to salvage some used stripping but you may want to consider just buying brand new, which will last longer then the used stuff.

Yeah, I've already done that. None had convertibles in stock currently. Luckily it's getting cold here and the top wouldn't be coming down until Spring so I have plenty of time to wait.

At $400 for the weatherstripping, the weatherstripping is 1/5 the car's cost. I was hoping to explore cheaper alternatives before dropping that much into something like weatherstripping, but if I have to I have to.

Yeah the stripping isnt cheap but I mean its worth it. But like I said you can try and salvage some and see how long it will last, just obviously make sure you find some that is in pretty good shape.
