Ways To Get Out Of A Ticket

This is what happened. I was downtown in San Francisco (3rd and Market if you're familiar about it) and I was behind a big refrigerator truck. I wanted to get around him to make a right turn so when the opportunity came I took it. I didn't know the light just turned red and when I made the turn some pedestrian already took a step into the intersection and there was a cop car right there on my left. Holy shit he saw me. So he cited me for running a red light and not yielding to pedestrians. So here's the thing, my view was blocked by the big truck, so can I use that as my defense? And if we go to court and I ask the officer if he knows why we're there and he says no, can I ask for the case to be dismissed based on the fact that his story cannot be reliable? I think I will have 2 points on my record if this goes through and I can only go to traffic school once, so basically I will have one point on my record. If I can get it dismissed then I think I will have no points. Anyone have any suggestions? This will be California based law.

Well I guess you could try getting an extention on your trial date to fight him, and then see if he comes. If you get lucky, he won't show up or won't remember what happened, but that's a gamble there.
I'm really not sure how using the evidence that your view was blocked by the truck though, because the case would basically just be his word versus yours. I dunno, it's hard to have proof in a case like that.

That's why I'm always extra careful driving in Frisco, things are crazy enough as it is down there.

How hard is it for the cop not to show up? Does anyone have any experiences in this field. The truck blocking my view is probably not going to help me. I was thinking on what questions to ask the cop and try and find some inconsistencies in his replies. But I think that you're supposed to give your story first, then he gets to tell his part, so bascially I'm screwed there. I was thinking that I would ask him if he knows what we're in court for and if he says yes, then ask him if he remembers what happened. Since we're both under oath, he can't lie (supposedly), so if he says no, then I can get the case dismissed right? Or what else can I do to make it more in my favor that the cop won't show up? Would late afternoon do it? Or maybe late afternoon since he'd probably rather be home? Any suggestions?

but one time a buddy of mine got pulled by a statie.. and he got the ticket thrown out cause the officer didn't have his hat on , he was out of uniform ... lol... sucka...

Actually my car is bone stock as of now, aside from tires.
